Can I bring my kids with me?
Yes, of course! Kids under the age of 10 do not have to pay for admission.
Can I bring my dog/cat/fish, etc?
No pets of any kind are allowed on the grounds. We know this can be inconvenient, but it is for the safety of our guests and your pet.
Can I take photos?
Absolutely. Be respectful when taking photos, as professional photographers have the right of way. If asked, please give them the space they need. Armstrong MetalFest may use any images posted online for promotional purposes.
Are there nearby gas stations/restaurants/grocery stores, etc?
Yes! The Hassen Arena is five minutes away from various shops and restaurants. Everything you need is just a quick walk away. We also have food vendors on site if you need a fast and convenient bite.
Will there be medics?
Medical professionals will be present during the daytime until the campsite settles down to help with injuries and the general welfare of participants.
Will there be security?
Security will be on site 24/7. Armstrong MetalFest hires security officers who are fully certified with their BST. Both male and female officers will patrol the grounds and be eager to help if any issues should arise.
Can I bring glass bottles?
Please do not bring glass bottles. Glass bottles are a safety hazard for everyone because if they break, the broken glass can never be thoroughly cleaned up.
Can I bring a BBQ?
BBQ can be used if it’s operated on gravel or a paved surface.
Can I have a campfire?
The Interior Provincial Exhibition grounds do not allow open flame. No campfires allowed.
What’s your policy on smoking?
In compliance with provincial law, smoking, and vaping are prohibited inside the venue or fifteen feet from any entrance or exit.
My ID was lost or stolen during the festival, and I want to be able to enter the beer gardens—I was in the gardens yesterday!
Proper ID must be shown every time you enter the gardens. We cannot let you in without it, even if we recognize you from earlier.
What’s your policy on alcohol?
It is strictly prohibited to bring alcohol into the venue, so please keep alcohol at your campsite. However, beer gardens are inside the venue, where you can grab a refreshing beverage while watching the bands.
Where do I go to the bathroom?
There are two separate bathroom facilities, one in the arena and one in the camping area. Both bathrooms have stalls and showers.
Will there be a family camping area?
Yes, a “family camping area” called Atlantis is suitable for campers who would prefer a more peaceful experience.
How much does camping cost?
Camping is included in the price of a weekend pass or an additional $20 for day pass holders.
Why is Armstrong MetalFest indoors?
Finding a suitable area to host a heavy metal festival and campers was no easy task. The Hassen Arena has graciously allowed us to use its facilities and grounds, allowing us to offer camping and amenities to more people than was possible at our old location.
Do you ship tickets and merch internationally?
We sure do. Shipping prices vary depending on location.
Can I buy a day pass?
Absolutely. Day passes are available at the gate for $120 per day and include a night of camping.

How old do I have to be to attend?
Armstrong MetalFest is an all-ages event. However, if you are 16 or younger, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How early can I arrive/when do I have to leave?
Guests are welcome to arrive Thursday after 11:00 AM to set up their camping area and must leave before noon on Sunday.
When is the festival?
The festival typically runs from 11:00 AM on Friday until 11:59 PM on Saturday, the second week of July.
